The Happy Season
The lawn mowers are buzzing all over town.
The smell of fresh cut grass fills the air.
The dogs are walking people up and down the street.
The screams of joyous children can be heard everywhere you go.
The air is warm and the sun shines bright.
The shorts get worn and sandals take flight.
Summer has arrived, the world has come alive.
The gardens are filled with plants shooting out of the ground.
Pretty girls in short shorts are causing men to stare.
Air conditioners are running hard trying to beat the heat.
Charcoal grills fill the air with the small of tantalizing smoke.
Motorcycles pass with a great and mighty noise.
Children playing in the grass, happy girls and boys.
Summer is the reason, it is the happy season.
