He was a sixteen year old high school boy.
He had a job at Mickey D's where he worked a couple of hours after school and one day on weekends.
He always maintained a high grade point average.
He never missed school or work.
He had a crush on a girl in one of his classes.
He thought she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in his entire life.
She had long blond hair that flowed down to the middle of her back.
She had pretty blue eyes and a smile that would bring him joy every time he saw it.
Sometimes he would catch himself starring at her in class.
When she noticed and looked back at him he would quickly turn away.
He was horribly shy and terrified of rejection.
And so he figured, the only way he'd have her was in his dreams.
And then one day as he was putting some books into his locker.
She walked up to him and said, "I've seen the way you look at me in class."
He felt his heart sink like a rock in a lake.
Then she said, "would you like to go out with me sometime?"
He got real nervous and stuttered out, "sh sh shure I would."
Then she said, "how about you come to my place around seven tonight and we'll go to a movie."
He said he had to work till six but was sure he could make it.
Then she wrote her address on a piece of paper and handed it to him.
Around ten to seven he found himself approaching the front door of her house.
She must've seen him coming because as he was walking up the front sidewalk she stepped out the door.
She was wearing a long blue dress and he thought she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
She walked up to him and took him by the hand and they walked to the movie theatre hand in hand.
When they got to the theatre he let her pick the movie.
He bought the tickets, a big tub of popcorn and two sodas.
As they watched the movie they both ate the popcorn and drank their sodas.
When the movie was over he walked her home hand in hand.
When they got to her front door he was still very shy and didn't know what to do.
So she put her arms around him pulling him very close giving him a very long and passionate kiss.
Then she gave him a piece of paper with her phone number on it and told him to call her as soon as he gets home.
As he walked home he felt like he was in a dream.
His head was in the clouds and his heart felt a pining like it never had before.
